COLORS OF DILLI HAAT

Dilli Haat is one of my favourite places in Delhi. I first visited this place 10 years back and numerous times since then. A handicraft paradise, I simply love the colors all around this place.

Tasty regional food and handicraft goods from the different states of the India are the main attraction. 

This time again, I rushed to Maharashtra stall for its Pao-bhaji, Poha and Thepla. :)

WELCOME, 2013

It's time to make new resolutions (and not to forget the undone ones :).

If you notice, I have the replaced the old colorful paper garland with a new, black one. This is to denote the horrifying tragedy in the national capital of India which we cannot forget while welcoming the new year. The plus sign is the hope that justice will prevail.

These are iPhone pictures of the temples we visited during recent trip to India. Some of the idols in the temple (as in second picture) were claimed to be of 11th & 12th century. I wonder if Indian Archaeological Department is aware of these idols. :)

ROSE GARDEN - I

I am back from a exciting and immensely fulfilling trip to India. We explored some new (out of our travel plan :) places in the beautiful winter weather. Rose Garden is one of them. Though it was not the best time to visit the garden, we were mesmerised by the stunning colours spread all over the area. 

It was such a scenic and eventful trip that my camera ran out of the memory space many times. I switched to my iPhone on those occasions, marking the pictures for Part II. :)
