GLOBAL VILLAGE

Global village, a "think global, feel local" kind of place, is one of our favourite weekend destinations in the winter. It is considered to be world's largest tourism and entertainment project where around 39 countries showcase their culture, cuisine and craft.

This is the second time we visited this beautiful place but still can not claim that we have covered all the pavilions.:)

Here are few shots from the visit. We left from home just before the sunset, so got a chance to capture the amazing dusk.

This place is so colorful and lively that this page may turn into a Holi post if I put all the pictures here. :) But i so much want to share these glimpses of wonderful performances by Indian and Middle East artists.

And here are the souvenirs we bought, the beautiful candle holder from Vietnam and a tribal face sculpture from South Africa (how can I forget to mention the bargain - flat 50% ! ). :)

Aren't these beautiful ? :)
On an unrelated note, I am still thinking about the cake design for my husband's birthday tomorrow. Any advices !? :)

DRIVE TO CASTLE HAYL

We knew it was still hot to go out for a long drive but the guilt of staying at home in a rare long weekend would have been much more uncomfortable. :) We drove to Castle Hayl which is considered to be more than 250 years old, situated at the top of a hill in the Emirate of Fujairah. We had a fun-filled day and a scenic evening, with a short halt for tea at Khor-Fakkan beach.

Here are few shots from the drive.

End of October and start of November, it's time to bake cakes and celebrate 2 important birthdays ! :)

BRIGHTON

While we are still waiting for weather to be good enough for the long drives and scenic shots, here is another picture collection from our trip to Brighton, UK.

Pebbly beach, cool breeze, Brighton Pier, Royal Pavilion, lush green & lively parks; this is what I remember about Brighton.

We are having a long weekend here. Eagerly waiting for the good weather. :)
Happy weekend ! :)

A'S BIRTHDAY PART II

It was a weekend full of cakes, gifts and wishes for A. He enjoyed blowing candles and listening to the birthday tunes as much as opening the gifts.

We had an awesome lunch party at Caesars with our friends and colleagues (met some of the them after almost 10 years :)) and a small celebration at A's play school with his little buddies. And how can I resist myself from decorating home for my darling's birthday. I spent an afternoon making colorful fliers and A helped me hanging them. ;)

Our wonderful friend Jai clicked and saved some beautiful moments for us while we were busy socialising.

A big thanks to our friends for all the love and wonderful wishes ! :)

CHASING LIGHT - I

Isn't it interesting to find the moody sunlight so hard in the morning, softer before the sunset and dramatic at the dusk !? :)

These shots are from our drawing room. I wish I get to see and click more beautiful colors of dawn and dusk.

A'S BIRTHDAY, PART I

I am super excited with my sweetheart's birthday. My little boy is turning 3 (Or I should say he is growing into a caring, loving, smart and logical buddy! :). We could plan this event well, as it is falling on weekend.

Dress, decoration, invitation, venue, menu, guest list and return gifts :) - here's a sneak peek how I am busy at the moment. :)

I will be back with a happy Part II, very soon ! :)

LOVE FOR SQUARES

Do you also feel that things look more beautiful when framed into a square !? :)
