CARDAMOM POUND CAKE

I found this delicious cake on pinterest this morning and immediately started gathering ingredients. :)

I altered the recipe by substituting the creme fraiche by full fat yogurt. Just loved the cardamom flavour and roasted almond together, a delicious treat for this weekend. :)

And this marks 100th post of my blog. Feels really good. :)

CHERRY CAKE

Tried this cake by replacing the plums by fresh cherries from this recipe~

Would recommend to add another 1/4th cup sugar in the batter or liberally dusting icing sugar on the baked top. A perfect treat for weekend! :)

SALTED CARAMEL DATE LOAF

Long weekend for my little one and time for me to bake, with him~

I read this simple & tasty loaf recipe few days back and decided to consume the dates lying in my fridge since long. :)

I made it without glazing (which the referred recipe calls for) and it tasted really good. A delicious treat for my little one! :)

POLISH PLUM CAKE

I found this perfect not-too-sweet, soft & moist plum cake recipe online here. It's way too easy to make and so rewarding. The only difference that it took 10 minutes more than the original recipe called for a clean toothpick test.:)

MODE ~ WEEKEND

Glimpse of a happy, sweet, fun-filled & (yet to be over) long weekend. 

We spent this weekend attending b'day parties, baking new delicious cake and meeting some old (and new) friends.

APPLE CAKE

The cloudy grey weather called for something special yesterday and i ended up baking, again. :)

I am not an apple (fruit:) lover but I love apple cake. I found an easy eggless recipe few months back and have used it many times since then. 

A loves it, equally ! :)

CUBAN POTATOES

We love potatoes, and who doesn't ? It's one of the most common content of our vegetable basket, which saves us a trip to grocery on one of those lazy weekends. :) 

I want to share this simple yet amazing potato recipe which i found while wandering in Chef Sanjeev Kapoor's website few months back. It's one of our favourites since then and an appetiser this weekend. :)

Kumpir is another favourite of ours, which we tried in Istanbul. Baked potato stuffed with various fillings, it is one of the most popular street food in Turkey, a must try apart from Turkish Delight. :)

I found Kumpir recipe here, would love to give it a try at home. But i doubt if i will be able to achieve the essence of street food ! :)

PAPPA ROTI

We first heard of Pappa Roti few months back from one of our friend. But it was last weekend we realised that even if you just catch the aroma of the food, which we did while passing by the restaurant, you will end up grabbing a seat there. :) And so we did. :)

I suggest you to just pass by this restaurant. :)
