KATHMANDU, PART I

Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, is a city of culture, colors and chaos. With many of monuments categorised under heritage importance, it's hard to spot a street without colors. We took a 4 days trip to this place in fall' 2010. So here comes a bright travel post. :)

On a different note, we are still having a very hot weather (so no outings and no long drives). But upcoming Europe trip next month is keeping us super excited. :)

Be right back.

VIRAAT TEMPLE

Viraat Temple, one of the temples we visited in India last month, is said to be built by Kalachuri king in 11th century. First time ever been to such ancient temple; I simply loved the dazzling abundance of carved stone figures and formations.

The weather was good enough to take these iPhone pictures. My handsome little boy posing in the last picture. :)

THE GOD THING

The colours & details of faith & beliefs.

These are iPhone pictures of the temples we visited during recent trip to India. Some of the idols in the temple (as in second picture) were claimed to be of 11th & 12th century. I wonder if Indian Archaeological Department is aware of these idols. :)
